Our Day Trip To The Cutty Sark

We were delighted to visit the Cutty Sark in London, The Cutty Sark is a British Clipper Ship and is the last surviving tea clipper, she was the fastest and greatest ship of her time, newly re-opened in April 2012. We were really excited to explore the amazing exhibits, We had the most amazing time visiting the Captains Cabins and the ships living quarters which gave us a real sense of what life was like aboard the Cutty Sark as a crew member all those years ago.

With so much to see and do abroad the Cutty Sark the interactive displays and exhibits gave us a wealth of information on the history of the Cutty Sark, it was amazing to see and take in the 144 years history before our very eyes.

As we ventured around the sights and smells really brought the Cutty Sark to life. Best of all it was amazing to walk under the hull of the ship and take in the overall size, As we sat and had a coffee we were in awe and the surreal sight of the 963 tonne ship above our heads, it was truly amazing.

We all had the most fabulous day out, it was great to step back in time learn some amazing facts about the Cutty Sark, The boys really enjoyed the interactive exhibits, and to be able to touch the historic wooden planks and iron frames,  Left us all feeling that our trip to the Cutty Sark was one we will all remember in years come.

We has truly unique day and to be able to experience and explore the Cutty Sark in all her glory, as well as take in the amazing views from the ship was absolutely breathtaking.
