Munro Films will be releasing spooky family sci-fi Max Winslow And The House of Secrets (cert 12A) on October 23rd just in time for school UK school half term.

The film was released in Scotland on Friday to coincide with earlier half terms, and will have showings from this Friday at Showcase Nottingham, Showcase Leicester and Savoy Nottingham.

The movie features Sydne Mikelle as young tech genius Max, Chad Michael Murray and Marina Sirtis, the plot follows five teens, who are invited to the home of an eccentric billionaire to compete in a game to win his mansion. But the night takes a dark turn when they become trapped in the house and are forced to face off against each other and an evil AI entity who controls everything in the house, including their fate.

We were lucky enough to be invited to watch Max Winslow And The House of Secrets at home last weekend, the movie will have you on the edge of your seat, with nail-biting movie moments filled with amazing graphics and cool effects. I won't give to much away, but all is not what it seems in the House Of Secret and sometimes you need to confront your fears and face your truths to truly move forward. A must-see movie which will be loved by the entire family.

'Max Winslow And The House of Secrets is proven to be entertaining for all the family following a #2 spot in the US Box Office and an 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Munro looks forward to introducing this title to a UK audience.

Cinema is still alive

You may have come to your attention through various media outlets that cinema is done and dusted. However, we all know that not to be the truth. Just because one chain of cinemas shuts down operations, or a film shifts to 2021, it doesn't mean there isn't a fine selection of films for all ages out now and coming up that people can go and enjoy and safely.

Cinema provides escapism, a chance to get lost in a story, to be taken to faraway lands, be touched by fear, by love, by painful situations. It provides a safe space for people from the outside world, a social space for those meeting with friends and somewhere to catch forty winks in a dark room if you so wish.

The news this week that Cineworld will be temporarily closing its operations from Thursday and Odeon closing some venues during the week came as a blow and it is easy to assume that nothing is coming out. That is not the case. Between now and Christmas, there are tonnes of releases for all groups and ages to enjoy and to do so safely. Here are some fab movie which are still set for theatrical release.
