The Attempt To A Healthier Lifestyle Continues

I was going ever so well...well sort of...on my quest to get fitter.....last week I managed two 30 min exercise routines which was fab.......As I had been building up to motivate myself for soooo long...but my boys were ill ...and the exercise routine went on hold.....

So I was glad to get back into the swing if things this week... I have already managed two cardio workouts so far this week... My diet however is still not as healthy as it could be.....Actually its no where near where it should be....but I'm trying!!!

I'm going to measure myself hips thighs ect Hoping I can slowly see changes as they eventually happen....But only if I lay off the cakes!!!!
So this weekend when I go shopping I wont be buying any naughty snacks....

I'm linking In with Kate's #WobblesWednesday..... Looking forward to reading everyone's achievements.

Wreck-it Ralph - Movie Review

From Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore comes
“Wreck-It Ralph,” a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure.
For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day.

Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero. On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails.... Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty,

And feisty misfit... Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart-racing game Sugar Rush, who may just be his first real friend. But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself. Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day—but can he do it in time?

“Wreck-It Ralph” crashes onto the big screen on February 8th 2013, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select cinemas.

We were lucky enough to attend an early screening of  wreck-it Ralph it was a fantastic movie which we all enjoyed.
I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone... children and adults alike...a most enjoyable movie which will take you on Wreck-it Ralph's journey to become a good guy ...We all really loved the movie and cant wait to see it again. Excellent story line with amazing 3D graphics which will make this movie..yet another fantastic Disney
"Must Watch"Movie...A Big Thumbs up from us x

Silent Sunday

Aqua Maris Junior

This is the time of year my little ones normally come down with a cold..Runny/stuffy noses...which irritates them and causes restless nights...So I was delighted to try Aqua Maris Junior
it came along just a the right time as my son is currently full of cold...what I like about Aqua Maris Junior is that its made with 100% natural ingredients and Contains isotonic natural seawater. and is recognised by experts for its benefits and is a gentle astringent helping to speed up the healing of the nasal tissue...relieving congestion it also contains over 80 essential minerals and trace elements which are particularly beneficial to nasal health.
Aqua Maris has been clinically proven to improve nasal breathing after only two days.....As it removes excess fluid and mucus from the nasal passage making it easier to breathe.

This is just what we need right I'm looking forward to the benefits Aqua Maris Junior will provide.
what I was amazed was to learn that - Seawater’s healing powers reduce the risk of infection and can speed up healing and Using seawater as a form of therapy, also known as thalassotherapy...and it has been around for centuries and was used by the Ancient Egyptians.

Aqua Maris Junior is suitable for daily nasal hygiene as well as to help with congested nasal passages, to ease breathing and to help ensure a good night’s sleep, and can be used for children and babies from 6 months old.
My son used the spray will ease...and said it tickled as I dispensed it......As we were lucky enough to receive two bottles....I decided to have a try and I must say.... I'm very very impressed..I suffer with nasal congestion almost everyday and have used so many nasal sprays over the years....this by far has got to be the most amazing natural nasal product I have ever used so much so I will be ditching the hydrochloride based nasal sprays and opting for the
Aqua Maris....

Aqua Maris also come have a Adult range... Strong which unblocks stuffy noses and Daily for dry and irritated noses.

I was very impressed Aqua Maris.. As it seemed to clear out my nose and I found it easier to breathe...and if it did this after only a couple of uses...I cant wait to see how I get on after two days.

Aqua Maris products are available in independent pharmacies and health food stores.

I received Two bottles of Aqua Maris junior and two Bottles of Aqua Maris for Adults to review..All thought are that of my own and I have not been instructed in what I write.

Mini Adventures

I always find short trips with my children around London fun just as much fun as big days out.... There's always so much to see and do ....Endless conversations and memories in the making...
On Friday early evening My boys and nephew accompanied me and my sister as and we headed off to a PR event in London...

We had lots if fun on the tube and walking though the London streets...Talking about the shops and shop displays..Buses and hectic life of London streets. I love listening and answering the questions  WHY is ...... I was also educated by my eight year old son on the cars that were parked up he happily shared the names of the vehicles as we walked along......We Stopped off for a bite to eat and had some amazing bonding time together....

A fun mini adventure....On a very cold evening.

Lego Building - A masterpiece in the making..

Books Over TV

The Works is asking a very important question...How reading with your children can differ from watching the TV...

We as a family absolutely love stories...There is nothing more I like then to sit with my boys with a book... its a great way to share and interact and enrich their minds..sharing stories.....which gets their imaginative minds ticking and anticipating what may happen next....sharing memories and precious moments...which gives my children a love for books...which to me is very important as a parent...We all know children benefit immensely from being read to.... Not only is it a wonderful bonding experience but children learn listening and communication skills.

Although my boys like to watch the TV...I find it can only provide them limited thinking in sharing and extending there imagination ..... and often they watch it without having think or react to whats flashing in front of them...although the TV has its place in our house....I find reading with my boys gives us a chance to step away from our hectic life and take time to share and interact with each other...It also gives us dedicated one on one time  ...Which I know my boys benefit from they always want to me to read to them..which show that the enjoy the story time we spend together.
Courtesy of The Works we are currently reading Disney 365 Boys Stories for Boys...which is an amazing book....Its has a fantastic selection of Disney stories both old and new sharing many years of Disney's magical stories ...from Pinocchio,Dumbo,Cars,Nemo, Bambi, Winne the pooh, Toy Story's - Woody and Buzz ....Are just a few of the amazing selection of stories available....A story for every day of the year....the book is very well laid out perfect for a bedtime read ...and great for cosying up together on the sofa.

The Works is promoting Books over TV...check them out Here and their offers an amazing range of books which are at fabulous prices.

I received a free book from the Works..All thought and opinions are that of my own.

and help the poorest people feed themselves through investment in small farmers.

can free themselves from hunger.
*IF we force governments and investors to be honest and open about the deals they make in
the poorest countries that stop people getting enough food.

Money Smarter

As a parent I want to educate my children as much as possible on money spending and saving...So when I was given the opportunity to review Money Smarter  - A Family Guide.... I was keen to see what it could offer to my family....

And I wasn't disappointed..... A very easy use guide on how parents can be more Money Smarter and educate their children at the same time.... with each chapter dedicated to simple and effective ways of personal money management, From budgeting saving and dealing with debt...The book aims to be a money smarter tool which is used on a week by week basis for the whole family to enable confident money management and handle future finances.

I really loved the chapter....Needs and Wants....which looks at necessities and luxuries and variable Items, That we might be able to do without... which is something I often reflect on in my family life.

Each chapter has an dedicated activity which is suitable for under 10 yr olds or over 10 yr olds to encourage children involvement to gain an understanding of money and finances.

The Book also comes with an accompanying CD with has lots of entertaining games and activities for children of all age real experience in all areas of personal finances

I really like this practical guide as I can see that it would provide food for thought amongst my children and get them thinking in practical ways about money though activities and games.
I look forward to using this guide with my children and look forward to educating my children on becoming money smarter for now and the future.

Snow Fun

We have been waiting for it to snow in London since last week.....So when the snow finally came... we were very excited....Despite both my boy's being off from school this week with high temperatures and heavy colds..... They found some energy to head off out side and enjoy the snow (while it lasts) we had a mini snowball fight and enjoyed making footprints in the snow...great fun and fond memories that I hope they will look back on in years to come.

Making Foot prints and Throwing Snowballs

Lots of Snow Fun

My Reasons To Be Cheerful

Wow the week has flown by....its been a hectic one...which is about to get more hectic with the start of after school clubs next week!!!!!

My sons are both off school at the moment with heavy colds and high temperatures...I had to take the day off work yesterday to look after them...I hate seeing them poorly so hoping the pick up soon

I'm trying to motivate myself into living a healthier lifestyle...I'm well know to be a big cake lover..I just want to cut back a little and eat healthier alternatives....I'm trying very hard at the moment...

I'm really looking forward to the weekend to have some family time...Hubbys not working so it will be nice to all be together and head out "somewhere" "anywhere" catch a movie and have lunch together.

Whatever The Weather

It might be cold and damp out side but my boys love to be on the outdoors even though I would prefer to be inside.. Especially on a cold damp day's....But never the less on the weekend we headed off to out local park and took the basket ball and football with us... The floor was quite wet as it had been raining... But as you know as kids don't normally care if they get muddy or dirty as long as they are having fun ...which they did .... I joined in but was quickly puffed out from running around.... that's when you show your age when you cant keep up with the kids... All have same is was nice to have a play around even though our hands got wet and muddy...I went prepared with some baby wipes to clean our hands.....and after all the running and hoops we had a nice lunch together...a simple yet fun day in the cold....It was nice to go home though!!!!! I was frozen and wet and craving a least we had a giggle and the boys had a good time. x

So whatever the weather venture out...its worth it

Getting Healthy.....Still Trying

As I continue my journey on becoming more health conscious and fitter...I face endless food trappings...It was my sons Birthday last week so I indulged in a few slices of cream cake which was lush...
I must admit I have found it very hard to become motivated back into living a healthier lifestyle I have so many excuses including loving bad foods..."Cake" and being a busy working mum...
So I decided to have a go and my all time favorite workout to see if it could motivate and inspire me on my journey .....I did do the workout but followed the moderator as I haven't done this workout in a while.

I really enjoyed the workout and and hope its spared me into the right direction.....Time will Tell

Um Bongo

This was my all time favorite juice drink as a child...I have fond memories of going shopping with my mum and coming home with a carton of Um Bongo...So when heard that the 1980s juice drink is set to see a revival in 2013...I couldn't wait to taste the Original Tropical flavour once again...And  now introducing the new Orang-Utan flavour which is a very tasty refreshing orange juice drink.
My boys loved the juices and couldn't get I can tell this will be on our shopping list in the future..
Do you remember trying to sing along to the Um Bongo lyrics .....

Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, a hippo took an apricot, a
guava and a mango.
He stuck it with the others, and he danced a dainty tango.

The rhino said, "I know, we'll call it Um Bongo", Um Bongo, Um Bongo,

They drink it in the Congo.

The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin.
The parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in.

So when it comes to sun and fun and goodness in the jungle, They all

prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!

Why not check out the Um Bongo Facebook page for more information on the revival.

Orange and Tropical flavoured Um Bongo arrive on the shelves of around 700 Tesco stores, priced at £1.29.  And from March, there will be a new no added sugar variant in 5 x 200ml, perfect for kids lunchboxes.
The original Um Bongo juice drinks are available in 200ml multipacks from Asda and Ocado.

I received two cartons of Um Bongo to sample...All thoughts and views are that of my own.

Dressing up and Kidspace Fun

Zak recently won a Marvel Superhero competition with Rubies which is one of the UKs largest fancy dress and costume manufacturers and distributors ...His prize was an amazing Superhero costume .... And a party at our local Kidspace.

We had an amazing time all the kids loved the indoor adventure and had so much fun climbing and clambering though the ever winding tunnels and enclosures....
I must admit I had a turn on the was great wonder the kids loved it.

The children were also privileged enough to have unlimited goes on the go karts/climbing wall and skyline.

After the adventures of climbing and exploring we were then called to our party room.
where we were entertained by a kidspace entertainer ....the kids laughed and giggled at the magic tricks and jokes.....  an absolutely amazing time.

We enjoyed pizza and a wonderful selection of party foods...including every child's favourite ice cream.

Being entertained...and enjoying fun party snacks

What a fab time we had all had...But it wasn't over..All of the children received a kidspace party bag AND courtesy of Rubies some fantastic competition prize's including an amazing superhero costume from Rubies.... the kids were delighted and couldn't wait to dress up.

Thank you so much Rubies from Zak and all his friends who had an amazing unforgettable time and adore their costumes x :).

This is a personal post as a thank you to Rubies....All views are that of my own and I have not been Instructed in what I write.
