Um Bongo

This was my all time favorite juice drink as a child...I have fond memories of going shopping with my mum and coming home with a carton of Um Bongo...So when heard that the 1980s juice drink is set to see a revival in 2013...I couldn't wait to taste the Original Tropical flavour once again...And  now introducing the new Orang-Utan flavour which is a very tasty refreshing orange juice drink.
My boys loved the juices and couldn't get enough...so I can tell this will be on our shopping list in the future..
Do you remember trying to sing along to the Um Bongo lyrics .....

Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, a hippo took an apricot, a
guava and a mango.
He stuck it with the others, and he danced a dainty tango.

The rhino said, "I know, we'll call it Um Bongo", Um Bongo, Um Bongo,

They drink it in the Congo.

The python picked the passion fruit, the marmoset the mandarin.
The parrot painted packets, that the whole caboodle landed in.

So when it comes to sun and fun and goodness in the jungle, They all

prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!

Why not check out the Um Bongo Facebook page for more information on the revival.

Orange and Tropical flavoured Um Bongo arrive on the shelves of around 700 Tesco stores, priced at £1.29.  And from March, there will be a new no added sugar variant in 5 x 200ml, perfect for kids lunchboxes.
The original Um Bongo juice drinks are available in 200ml multipacks from Asda and Ocado.

I received two cartons of Um Bongo to sample...All thoughts and views are that of my own.
